In 2021, we placed our trust in Alex Fernandez by electing him to serve on the Miami Beach City Commission. Alex has since honored that trust by enacting commonsense policies to improve our quality of life as a community while taking a hands-on approach to resolve the respective issues we face as residents. In times of division and dysfunction, he has built consensus around thoughtful solutions to complex problems and prioritized personal collegiality over political brinkmanship.

From restoring safety during spring break to helping advance long-stalled infrastructure projects, fighting to preserve our historic neighborhoods, and standing as our community’s strongest advocate for tenants, Alex has delivered real results. He’s advancing groundbreaking policies to protect condominium owners from predatory buyout practices, leading on balanced efforts to responsibly address homelessness, and is a proud representative fighting for all segments of the LGBTQ community. He has also served as a bridge to our city’s religious institutions, recognizing the importance of embracing the diversity of faiths that strengthen our community. And when it comes to protecting our city’s assets, Alex has ensured that the power to sell or lease public property stays where it belongs – with the voters.

Now, Alex is running for re-election to further shape Miami Beach into a city worthy of its residents.
